Leader In Me Focus Continues

The Pine School continues their dedication to beneficial Leader In Me programming.
To start the new school year, The Pine School’s entire faculty gathered for an intensive week of pre-planning. The group dedicated a morning for continued attention to Leader In Me - the comprehensive PK–12 framework that nurtures student leadership, fosters a culture of trust, and boosts academic success.

Led By Leader In Me Consultant Josh Wycuff, the group focused on strategies to empower students to lead their own learning, including the use of a powerful goal achievement framework, The 4 Disciplines of Execution. We want students to set their eyes on wildly important goals, engage in the behaviors that will move them toward those goals, and leverage their community of support along the way to help them accomplish great things.

“It is always an honor to partner with the dedicated team of educators at The Pine School to prepare students with the skills they need to lead themselves and others more effectively,” shared Wycuff.

As part of The Pine School’s commitment to ensure that our students develop true skills to succeed on all fronts, an enthusiastic group of peer-selected leaders also worked with Wycuff to consider and explore practical concepts and strategies from The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People to become more effective in the things that matter most at school, at home, and in the community.

"It's wonderful to see the excitement among our student leaders as they learn leadership skills to not only to achieve success both in and out of school, but to also assist their peers in setting goals, building relationships, and learning skills to navigate our complex and changing world beyond PINE," shared Director of School Counseling Heidi Kaye.
