We have some exciting news to celebrate in PINE’s Upper School this week. Senior Aiden Martinez has been named a National Merit Semifinalist, placing him among the top high school seniors in the entire country.

 

This honor comes after Aiden achieved one of the highest scores in the state on his junior year PSAT, an assessment taken by more than 1.3 million students nationwide. Less than one percent of high school seniors earn this designation, making it an extraordinary milestone. Aiden now moves forward in the competition for a National Merit Scholarship.

 

"Aiden stands out for his curiosity, diligence, and unwavering commitment to academic excellence," shared Director of College Counseling Kathleen Bracken. "While being named a Semifinalist is a wonderful recognition, it only scratches the surface of who he is as a student and community member."
