The Pine School recently proved that size is no match for strategy and spirit. At the inaugural Wall Street South Stock Pitch Competition, hosted by the Business Development Board of Palm Beach County (BDB), our students stood tall against 21 of the region’s largest and most prestigious public and private high schools, ultimately securing a massive victory.

The high-stakes event mirrored elite collegiate challenges, requiring student teams to pitch live investment recommendations to a gauntlet of 15 prominent finance executives. After advancing through intense preliminary rounds judged by industry leaders—including David Tuthill, Head of Florida for Point72—The Pine School moved into the "Final Four Finale," where they battled for the top title.

Our team took a deep dive into the tech sector, pitching AST SpaceMobile Inc (ASTS). Their victory wasn’t just about the numbers; it was about the rigorous preparation and the personal touch they brought to the boardroom.

"We were up against some of the best high schools in the country," shared Junior and lead team member Stella Harrison. "Yet we were still not only the best in our pitch room, but overall. This goes to show how, though we were the smallest school and pitch team, we were still able to win. Our main strategy was talking to different people—teachers, parents, etc.—to get multiple opinions, and we researched ASTS extensively to ensure we could answer any question."

Beyond the trophy, the event offered a rare networking opportunity for our students to engage directly with leaders from firms like Tremblant Capital and RiverNorth. As the "Wall Street South" financial hub continues to grow in Palm Beach County, Pine School students are proving they are ready to lead the way.
