  • Counseling at PINE

PINE’S Developmental School Counseling Program serves all students, Kindergarten through 12th Grade, and is an integral component of our mission to maintain a strong sense of community and connection.
Modeled after the American School Counseling Association’s framework, our comprehensive program reaches all students through school wide character education and social-emotional learning opportunities. Our “Knights of Character” initiative, which  focuses on monthly character values such as respect, caring, integrity and perseverance, helps students to strengthen their social-emotional development and interpersonal skills, which positively impacts their educational experience.

Students may also participate in individual or group counseling, to receive supplemental support as they navigate personal challenges.

Working Closely with Our Families

Our professionally certified school counselors work closely with families and offers parent programs on various topics relating to students’ mental health and well being, such as:
  • Child development, raising confident and resilient children
  • How to help children with anxiety, depression, ADHD, and more
  • Responsible use of Social media and Cyber Safety
CARING CONNECTIONS are a fundamental aspect of the learning environment at The Pine School.  Together, school counselors, advisors, student support staff, and faculty maintain a compassionate climate in which student success flourishes.
