  • An Investment in Education in Preparation for College and a Life of Learning

The Pine School's Upper School is a wealth of challenging academics, inspiring arts, competitive athletics, and all the guidance and support needed to bring together the investment of an independent school education in preparation for college and a life of learning.
Our faculty are experts in their fields and are as passionate about their subjects as they are experienced in delivering it in exciting and dynamic ways. Small classes and intimate instruction provide students with the tools and experiences they need for a successful transition to university life and their chosen career.

In addition to a rigorous academic program that includes AP classes, world language, and electives in athletics and the arts, there is an a community service focus,  and numerous opportunities for co-curricular activities - such as a unique Prefect Student Leadership program. Artists, scientists and entrepreneurs visit the school and interact with the students, giving them an opportunity to learn beyond the established curriculum.

Upper School students have developed a rich and varied social life that includes Homecoming, Field Day, Holiday traditions, and Prom. Each student in the Upper School participates in our Off-Campus Education Week in the spring - including environmental explorations of the Everglades and FL Keys, Outward Bound backpacking through the boroughs of New York, college tours and historic landmarks in the DC area, and taking on the challenging rapids at the National Whitewater Center in Charlotte, NC (home of the U.S. Olympic Kayak team).
The Pine School is an independent college preparatory school educating students in Kindergarten through 12th Grade.
