Process of Admission

 

In order to apply to The Pine School for Grades 5-12, applicants must submit the following:

  1. Application form online ($75.00 non-refundable application fee)
  2. Family Interview & Tour of School (call the Admission Office to schedule)
  3. 2 years of School Report Cards (upload directly to Blackbaud)
  4. Copies of Standardized Testing (upload directly to Blackbaud)
  5. Teacher Recommendation Forms in English and Math (upload directly to Blackbaud) 
  6. School Statement Form (Principal or School Administrator to upload directly to Blackbaud)
  7. Copies of Professional Testing (if applicable)
  8. Copy of Birth certificate
  9. On-campus Shadow Day Visit* (online interview is acceptable if student is out of town) 
  10. On-campus Evaluation: 5th through 8th grade applicants will take a MAP test during their shadow day. MAP testing for upper school applicants may be requested by the admission committee if there is not sufficient evidence of academic standing. Personal interviews will also be conducted.

Admission committee meetings are held to review complete applicant files in December and February and then on a rolling basis after March.   Recommendations are made and decision letters are emailed following this process.
