Are you prepared to face your fear?
On October 28th, you'll have your chance because the dead will be running amongst us. To survive, you must traverse a 5K course with off-road and street terrain. The run is easy. It's avoiding the zombies that can get a bit tricky. Don't worry. We're not timing you. But we do suggest that you run for your lives or at least faster than the guy behind you.
And if you're feeling particularly brave, we double dare you to experience the Pine School's famous Haunted House which opens at 6:30pm immediately following the race. Enter at your own risk!
Zombie Survival Kits are available to everyone that registers by October 12th. The kit will include a 10th anniversary commemorative shirt and various survival supplies..
Halloween costumes strongly encouraged! We hear it confuses the dead.

Frequently Asked Questions
What should I expect at the Zombie Run?
Come out dressed in a Halloween costume or zombie outfit (that you can run in). You can wear regular clothes too, but be warned that zombies are attracted to normality. Ghouls will be running amongst you on the course, which means they may jump out at you (infect you and proceed to eat you). Although our ghouls have been warned about scaring the littles, there’s no guarantee that they will listen (they are mindless ghouls), so it’s best to have an adult with young ones to help shield them from the unruly, living dead.
What about the Haunted House?
We are thrilled to bring back the famous TPS Haunted House during the 10th annual Knight Run. The Haunted House will be open to the public and race participants on race day at 6:30pm and will be located on the tennis courts behind the gymnasium on the North side of campus. The Haunted House is being created and managed by the same amazing team that terrified us on the Stuart lower school campus for many, many years. There is no charge to enter the Haunted House. You won’t want to miss it!
Can I get my Zombie Survival Kit early?
Sure. You can pick up your survival kit on Thursday, October 27th between 2:00pm and 5:00pm. On race day, bring your bib number and your will to live. You can also pick up the kit on race day starting at 3pm.
What is the course like?
The Zombie Knight Run course is approximately 5K with both off-road, street terrain and a few challenging hills. The race begins at the soccer field behind the school buildings. Be prepared for lots of uneven surfaces (and flesh eating zombies). A course map will be available as the race approaches.
Will there be blood? Will my clothes stain?
Yes and yes! This is a Zombie run, after all, so you can be sure there will be lots and lots of gruesome blood and body parts, especially as you run through the blood station. To survive, please wear clothes that you're ok with getting stained, this includes costumes. Although we will have a "blood free" zone, the Zombies may ignore our instructions and go after you anyway. Be cautious!
What if it rains?
Unless there is a downpour/thunderstorm or unsafe conditions, the event will go on. We’ll announce any cancellations on our Facebook page (/thepineschool) and on Twitter (@thepineschool)
What is your policy on refunds?
Due to the high cost associated with planning for this event, NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED for any reason.
What about parking?
Parking is available at designated areas on campus, including street parking and parking in the South and North parking lots. If necessary, over flow parking will be available just inside the entrance close to US1.
What about restrooms and security?
School restrooms are open to the public. Security is provided all evening, during and after the event.
