Merit Scholarships: Pine and Patriot Programs

The Pine Scholarship Information


The Pine Scholarship is offered to inquiring or returning students in rising 9th grade. Award winners must be capable of exceptional academic work, have a strong track record of achievement, and distinguish themselves in the arts, athletics, community service, and/or leadership and must take the scholarship exam . All current Pine School 8th graders as well as 9th grade applicants to The Pine School for the coming year are encouraged and welcome to apply for this scholarship.

Registration for the Pine Scholarship for the 2017-18 is now closed.  If you have already signed up to take the exam, Scholarship testing will take place on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 9am at The Pine School.  A follow up email from the admission office will be sent to all registrants mid January.  Upon completion of the test, the top scoring students will then be asked to complete an admission application and will be invited back to school for an interview by the scholarship committee. Scholarship decision letters will be sent out on March 1, 2017.  For more information regarding other financial aid opportunities, please click on the financial aid tab.

The Patriot Scholarship Information and Application


Thanks to the efforts of community members to raise scholarship funds through the annual 100 Years of Cars event, The Pine School Patriot Scholarship is available to students who:

-are the children of veterans or United States military personnel;
-are eligible for admission to The Pine School;
-are in or entering grades 9 through 12;
-complete an application for the Pine School Patriot Scholarship;
-demonstrate financial need.

The Patriot Scholarship is awarded toward the cost of tuition at The Pine School.  More than one scholarship may be made each year within the funding limits of the program. Students who have been awarded a Patriot Scholarship continue to receive the scholarship through their senior year, dependent on the student’s satisfactory performance at The Pine School.

Scholarship applications are reviewed by the school's Scholarship Committee. Applications can be obtained at any time from the Admission Office at The Pine School by calling 772-675-7005 (or by clicking the link above).

Applications must be submitted by March 1 each year. The Scholarship Committee reserves the right to interview finalists for the scholarship during the month of March. Awards are announced in early April.
